Julie Mercier is a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM), Licensed Midwife (LM), childbirth educator, professional birth assistant, registered nurse and mother of four children.  Julie started Informed Birth and Parenting to ensure that families in Northeast Wisconsin can experience and enjoy safe homebirth.

Julie believes that when a woman gives birth, she has a right to do so in a way that is the most emotionally and spiritually meaningful to her. Julie believes that a birth experience should be remembered with love and joy, not as a time of discomfort and duty. For many women, this means giving birth at home, with the comfort of family near by.

Julie also knows that sometimes giving birth can be a frightening experience. This is why she makes the comfort, safety and care of her client her top priorities. By having a midwife like Julie at your birth, you can be sure of a meaningful and safe homebirth.
